Lucky us: Philadelphia was selected by Chick-fil-A as the test market for their new sweet potato waffle fries. Restaurants all around the Greater Philadelphia area will host a free “fry day,” to test their new idea on May 13th. Philly is one of four markets across the country where the Atlanta-based chain is giving this offer. The fries will be available at 47 restaurants in the region, as well as other forward-thinking locations in Oklahoma City, Memphis and Athens, Ga. From 3-6PM, customers will get a free medium order of the fries if they ask for the free promotion at the restaurant or drive-thru and, even better, no purchase is necessary.
