On Tuesday September 20th, Dock Street Brewery (701 South 50th Street) will be hosting the first Philadelphia screening of the documentary Urban Roots. The film follows the rise of urban farming in Detroit, spearheaded by a group of local farmers taking action to rebuild Motown into “GrowTown.” The screening is free, and Dock Street is donationg $1 per beer sold during the screening to the Tree Foundation which works to put farms in local schools.
