According to Philadelphia Business Journal, this year’s Fall Restaurant Week generated $11.6 million in spending. Last year’s restaurant week pulled in $11.5 million.
In other figures, “194,000 people ate at 119 participating restaurants during the event, which took place in two segments spread over two weeks in September. About two-thirds of the restaurants involved last year saw a gain in sales this time.”
The next restaurant week is scheduled for January 22-27 and January 29-February 3, 2012. More info can be found here.

Not really sure how useful that number is. It doesn’t really mean anything unless it could be compared to normal, non-restaurant week figures. If any other “regular” week only generates say 11.4 million, than that wouldn’t really seem so great, would it? Not really likely that the difference is so small, but it would be nice to see some relevant numbers coming out of the freaking *business* journal.
