We’re big fans of places whose names sound much better if they’re shouted, which is why we like Opa (1311 Sansom Street). And another reason you should be shouting their name? They’re celebrating their one year anniversary. Happy Restaurantiversary Opa!

This Friday, to celebrate, they are offering $1 specials for lunch and dinner. On top of that, Opa has partnered up with the Support Center for Child Advocates and will donate 10% of this weekend’s profits to the organization in recognition of the restaurant’s anniversary. The SCCA, “help[s] raise awareness and funds for pro bono legal assistance and social service advocacy for abused and neglected children in Philadelphia.”

So great food, an anniversary celebration, and a good cause? Sounds good to us.
