Slated to open in June, Blue Belly BBQ is the newest from Gene Giuffi, chef-owner of the French BYOB Cochon. And it’s in a spot you might have loved once: 600 Catharine Street, the original and longtime location of Little Fish. Blue Belly BBQ won’t be going for the romance of the old Little Fish, though, erring in favor of a melange of Southern BBQ styles. Doing lunch and dinner, Blue Belly (a Confederate nickname for Yankee soldiers) will feature Pulled Pork Piedmont Style and St. Louis Ribs, as well as Jerk Chicken Wings, Bacon Onion Arepas, and Lamb Neck Barbacoa.
