In case you needed a mid-week bummer, Philly.com’s Insider blog has reported that popular seafood joint Craft & Claw, which we informed you replaced frat party central Mad River in Old City last summer, will be closing indefinitely while some kind of “situation” is sorted out, says manager Max Tucker. The article on Philly.com does not detail the situation that Tucker is referring to, but it does say that a majority partner forced the issue.
Craft & Claw was open for just 130 days, and the twitter account they used to announced their opening hasn’t said anything since December 20.
We have fond memories of watching the last presidential debate there and hope that their “situation” is resolved soon. We’d love to be back for some crabs and beer this spring.
