Your Grandpop’s Drive Through Ain’t Got Nothing On This…

Ahhh, the drive through. A time honored yet horribly forgotten pastime in American foodie culture. It was big when Beatlemania was sweeping the nation, and your Grandpop finally had the courage to ask Grandmom to go steady. While the classic car-friendly restaurants may have faded into the history books, replaced by or evolving into cost-over-quality burger joints, restaurateur Courtney Roszas says no way Jose for her second restaurant Farmer’s Road Drive Through in Chadds Ford, Delco will be opening this Sunday.

So what’s so special with about this new spot? Besides buying an old KFC location and renovating it to become a more upscale eatery, Roszas’ vision of mixing a classic American tradition with local, healthy, and sustainable ingredients is hooking Phoodies in from far and near.

Menu items, which all range from $6 to $9, include the Green Dog, an Applegate all natural grass fed beef hotdog with avocado, watercress, rice cakes, and a whole-wheat hotdog bun; an Apple Sandwich with local cheddar, local organic American cheese, Granny Smith apple, raw honey, on maple sourdough bread; and classics like an Organic grass fed beef burger with all the healthy fixins.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be available six days a week, Monday – Saturday 7:00AM to 9:00PM, while on Sundays the joint will be open for breakfast and lunch and will close at 2:00PM, so that y’all can enjoy Sunday family dinner at home.
